Selection Process
In this you have to go through three steps –
- Preliminary Exam
- Main Exam
- Document Verification
After passing these steps, you will be confirmed as per the final merit list.
Note – Preliminary exam will be conducted only if more than forty thousand applications are received. |
BSSC CGL Exam Pattern
- The nature of the question paper in this exam will be objective ie multiple choice.
- A total of 150 questions will be asked in this exam.
- For which you will have to take 2 hours 15 minutes i.e. 135 Minutes time will be provided.
- You will be awarded 4 (Four) marks for each correct answer, whereas for each wrong answer, 1 (mark) will be deducted as penalty.
- The question paper will be in both English and Hindi languages, if for any reason there is a difference in the questions, only the English question paper will be valid.

Note: In the light of clause-12 of the Bihar Staff Selection Commission Examination Conduct Rules 2010, the preliminary examination will be taken along with the book. Candidates can take with them three books i.e. one book for each section.
General Studies Section (ii) Mathematics Section and (iii) General Science Section Books in NCERT/B.S.E.B./I.C.S.E. And only text books of other boards will be valid. Subject guides, photocopies of books, handwritten papers, notes, electronic devices etc. are not allowed inside the examination hall.
